Adjective Intensifiers

Introduction

You will have seen extreme adjectives with intensifying adverbs such as, "totally appalled" or "absolutely amazed", but there is another class of adjective intensifier which is specific to the adjective it intensifies. In the exercise below, you can see, "idle" meaning 'lazy'. The intensifier for "idle" is "bone". "Bone idle" means very or totally idle.
